King of Upstate (KoU) returned in 2025 as Syracuse’s premier fighting game event, hosted once again by Attach From All Sides — and this year, it leveled up. Held at the newly expanded 20,000 sq/ft ELITE Gaming Esports Arena in downtown Syracuse, KoU 2025 brought even more players, stages, and hype to the heart of the FGC scene.
With three tournament stages and brackets run on high-end PCs (with Smash Ultimate on console), the event featured a stacked lineup of headline games: Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear: Strive, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Rivals of Aether II — each backed by a $300 pot bonus.
Side brackets added even more competitive flavor, including Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes, Tekken Ball, and Smash Ultimate Doubles.
With top-tier setups, fierce matchups, and an electric crowd, KoU 2025 proved once again why it stands as the ultimate fighting game showdown in Upstate New York — now bigger, louder, and more legendary than ever.
