More Than Competition
The Empire State Showdown is also an opportunity for New York high school students to explore the next step in their esports journey. Students will have the opportunity to visit Syracuse University on Sunday to see collegiate teams from around the country compete, meet players, and tour the campus.
Throughout the weekend, PlayVS will also showcase PlayVS Recruit, which connects verified high school student-athletes ages 16+ with collegiate esports recruiters and scholarship opportunities. Students can build profiles around their verified competition history, while collegiate programs can discover prospective players by title, graduation year, and other criteria.
